Jorge Baeza served as a trainer at the Carabineros dog training unit in Santiago, Chile, where he trained various dogs. In 2013, he met Jerjes, a truly special dog, and they quickly formed a strong friendship.

Their connection surpassed the typical trainer and K9 police dog relationship! Their mutual affection was genuine, making it heartbreaking when Baeza tragically lost his life in a severe car accident while visiting his grandparents on December 16 of this year. Jerjes was left heartbroken!

A colleague promptly brought Jerjes to Baeza’s funeral. The presence of this extraordinary dog deeply moved all the family members. Jerjes approached the coffin and gave an unexpected, heartfelt farewell during the burial of his friend and mentor, Jorge Baeza. To bid his final goodbye, Jerjes stood on his hind legs with his front paws touching the coffin, adopting a dignified pose he had learned from Baeza.

Eduardo Ortega, who attended the funeral and shared this touching photo, stated: “I believe it’s important to share this image.
