“I Love the Way You Love Me” is a song recorded by American country music singer John Michael Montgomery from his debut album, Life’s a Dance (1992). It was written by Victoria Shaw and Chuck Cannon, and released in March 1993 as the album’s second single. The song reached the top of the US Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart. It became Montgomery’s first number-one single and was named Song of the Year by the Academy of Country Music.
I like the feel of your name on my lips
And I like the sound of your sweet gentle kiss
The way that your fingers run through my hair
And how your scent lingers even when you’re not there
And I like the way your eyes dance when you laugh
And how you enjoy your two-hour bath
And how you’ve convinced me to dance in the rain
With everyone watching like we were insane
I cry every time I hear him sing this, I miss my husband so much and I loved the way he loved me for 39 years!!!
But I love the way you love me
Strong and wild, slow and easy
Heart and soul so completely
I love the way you love me
Every time my wife and I start to argue. I remember this song and stop right there because my beautiful bride is so much more important then being right or wrong. She’s my world my best friend. I stood before God and family and promised to honor her
